I know we are going into 2018 and many people have converted completely over to electronic calendars. I do use my calendar on my phone for reminders and calendar feeds to populate; however, I like to write down my “To Do List” and keep track of my appointments on paper.
For me, when I write things down they stick in my mind better. It’s like the act of writing solidifies it in my mind somehow. Also as far as a “To Do List”, I have to have that written in order to check it off or cross it out whatever you prefer when completed. The very act of crossing it out brings me satisfaction! Are there any of you with me!
When I am purchasing a new planner it’s not a quick decision. I like to look at all the options; pretty planners, business looking planners, those that have stickers included and planners with time slots. There are so many to choose from and they all appeal to me.
Over the years I have learned that I don’t use the time slots or put stickers in my planner. However, I do have a few must haves that work for me that I can’t live without.
- Must be bound in a way that the cover will not fall off
- Must include a full calendar for the month with ample room to write appointments
- Must have space for each day of the week to write my “To Do List” for the day. I create a little box before my “To Do List” entry. I leave the box blank until I start working on it, once I start working on a task I put a period inside, and a check when the task is completed!
Do you have “must haves” when purchasing a new one?
If you haven’t purchased your 2018 planner yet, Amazon has a great selection and if you have Prime, you’ll get it in time!!
